ABOUT

Hey y'all I’m Nicholas Futris! Or you can call me Nick, I answer to both. I am a singer, actor originally born in Ohio, grew up in Georgia and went to college in Connecticut. Currently  I am based out of Hartford, CT. I love all genres of theatre and film. My favorite movies range from The Dark Knight to The Nightmare Before Christmas and Frozen. Fun fact, I have seen Frozen on stage at The Hyperion at Disneyland, on Broadway, the National Tour and Regionally!

When I saw my first Broadway show (Anastasia) in high school I knew that I had found my purpose. I pursued a BFA in Musical Theatre at The Hartt School where I joined Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity, learned to shovel snow and do some pirouettes! 

 

I am a vocal health nerd and I love learning new things about the voice. I have a bunch of fun warmups and home remedies in my back pocket at all times. When I am not performing, I like to read, find a park to explore or obsess over my favorite streaming shows and movies. My favorite digital creator is supreme leader Brittany Broski and I enjoy learning about internet lore and memes on the interwebs.

Some of my recent projects include attending the Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals in January 2024. You can briefly hear my singing voice in the film “Christmas With Jerks” Streaming now on Apple TV/ Tubi and Amazon Prime. I had the honor of performing at Don't Tell Mama NYC in "A Dream (Role) Come True Cabaret" in August 2024.  During my college career I have played Mr Burns in “Mr Burns A Post Electric Play”, Ladislav Sipos in "She Loves Me”, and ensemble member in "Sister Act". My favorite role I’ve performed was as Davey in “Newsies” in summer 2023.
